Overview

In today’s economy, most organizations are leaner and flatter.  One result of this trend is that successful organizations require team members to take responsibility and be personally accountable for achieving desired business outcomes.

Based on the principles espoused in the best-selling book QBQ! by John G. Miller – APA drives home the importance of personal accountability for business results, teaches techniques to help individuals practice personal accountability in the workplace, and helps managers/ supervisors understand how to instruct their team members to become more responsible and self-managing.

APA includes action planning for individuals AND intact work teams (if applicable).

Innovation is one of the most important factors in business success, but also one of the most difficult topics to teach and instill in team members.

PowerPlay helps organizations increase productivity through enhanced innovation.

Participants are introduced to a new way of approaching time and personal performance.  Each student learns how to save time and increase output in every area of life.  The process deals with both the practice and psychology of time management.  Particular focus will be dealing with the overflow of information coming from email and electronic devices in the work environment today.

This is a 1-day basic course that includes discussion on the 9 simple steps needed to improve work processes.

  • After discussion, team will actually use the steps to work a real process.

Target Audience:  This course requires a natural work group/team that has a “real” work process on which to improve.  Team should be no larger than 10 – 12 people.  The work group does not have to be a team, but the process should impact all participants.

One of the biggest issues facing teams today is the lack of a process to resolve conflicts.  We offer a workshop in which participants will learn to recognize the different levels of conflict, how to respond in a calm productive manner when engaged in a conflict, and how to map a conflict to best satisfy the needs of everyone.

Overview

Teams do not automatically move through the stages of development.  Higher team productivity is a conscious choice and can only be accomplished by spending time together working to eliminate barriers.  Team building is not a one time event.  Teams need periodic renewal to enjoy continuous renewal to enjoy continuous improvement.

Our team building workshop is focused on helping teams identify where they are and what they need to do to move to that next level of performance.

While many goal-setting workshops simply reinforce awareness that goals are important and encourage participants to set a few goals, Goal Setting and Achieving helps participants discover their own unique goals and powerfully chart a journey toward a future in which those goals are fulfilled.

This workshop provides a focused way for participants to structure their efforts to achieve personal and/or team goals. The customized “Goal Planning Worksheets helps participants clarify their goals in key measurable ways, to
analyze the journey toward achieving personal and team goals and to establish key motivational rewards for individual and team performance.
